I stumbled upon Skins (UK) last year, I believe and to my surprise it got my attention.
After watching MTV's Teen Mom finale, I observed an advertisement saying click to preview Skins. I didn't think much about it at the time, but after watching the preview........let's just say my reaction was ►________________________________
Skins (UK) on it's own was or is a good drama appealing to a teenage-viewership; from the initial trailer it looks like absolute rubbish but given a chance it proved otherwise. The show contains a compilation of characters, all very distinct with their own back story, but as they say the bonds of friendship can be strong enough to overcome adversity. Anyway, the show plays heavily on the exaggerated lives of teenagers and showcases-sex, drugs, partying and talented achievers.

Skins (USA) Judging from the trailer, it looks like a carbon copy of the UK version just with an American cast in what looks like a non-American setting. I don't think I will be watching it b/c I don't want to ruin my memory of the original cast and story.
